great monaural radio

great-sounding radio, perfect for those that are not obsessed with a boom-box. Speaker sound (almost) rivals that of the Bose Wave (to my ears), and will work with AC power or 6 D batteries.....great value if this is what you are looking for

Great AM Reception!

I bought this radio so that I could listen to the Toledo Mudhens baseball games on a AM station. All other radios failed to pull in the station as it was being overlapped by others. This radio was able to pull in the AM station clearly. Go Hens!

A good value. We live in an area with poor radio reception and this radio gets gets many more stations then the others we have at home. It's reception is best when plugged into an outlet as opposed to using battery power, however it is effective under any power source. Not beautiful to look at, but it does the job well. I now own two of these radios.
