| I bought these because I have owned Aiwa earbud-style headphones in the past, and been extremely happy with them, even so far as to prefer them to any other brand, including Sony. This pair turned out to be an almost complete disappointment. To be sure, the sound quality is fantastic; the treble is nice and high, the bass is spectacular for 'phones so small... Unfortunately, the sound quality is not so good as to make up for the major problem with the 'phones: a glaring design flaw. The headphones do not come with earpads, nor do they have a soft rubber coating to keep them planted in your ears. They're made entirely of HARD PLASTIC. Not only do they not stay put, but, kept in your ears long enough, it's enough to cause severe pain. It's nigh on impossible to find just replacement earpads, without having to buy a new set of headphones. If you already have a set of earbuds with earpads you can re-use, these may not be such a bad replacement. But if you want something comfortable and ready-to-use right out of the box, look elsewhere. Two stars, and only that because of the good sound quality. |
