Software & adapter both have problems

Tried on three computers (XP SP2, XP SP1 and Win 2K). Bluetooth stack software from CD or website would not install at all on XP machines and only grudgingly on 2K. Eventually discovered adapter itself was dead (although the OS was able to see the adapter the bluetooth radio and lights would not come on).

The Belkin adapter I've had for a year has never had a problem. You get what you pay for.

This adapter sucks!

To put it mildly, this highly unstable product caused too much aggravation. I'm using XP, SP2, on a Toshiba laptop, M45-S331. First of all, the CD-ROM instruction manual doesn't tell you that the device manager window will pop up continuously while the software is installing. It also doesn't indicate that the Found New Hardware Wizard will come on. Finally, it won't connect/pair the device properly. Never could get my bluetooth mouse to work. I'm returning this immediately. Do not buy this product!

Perfect for anything BT

Bluetooth technology is a great tool for anyone that prefers wireless wherever possible. I bought this adapter to allow my phone to interface with my laptop. I get reminders, tasks, and (the best part) all of my Outlook contacts directly dumped onto the phone! This was the greatest motivator in my decision to purchase this item. I dreaded the thought of manually entering every last name and number into my phone. This saved me about 6 hours... Mine looks a little different than the one pictured online, but it works with no interruption.
