Comfortable but too bright |
(Aug 11, 2005)
Fancy white color goes with fancy iPod mini.
There are two carrying cases with this unit:
1) just a small egg that you can clip the ear portion with the cable free. Portability works fine if you dont' mind the cord freeflowing in your pocket.
2) big white 'apple-esqe' plastic case that you can wrap the cord into. It reminds me of one of those small "stick up" lights.
The big plastic case is actually bigger than my iPod mini which is not helpful for portability (the reason I got the mini). The case is just too thick to put in your pants pocket unless you want a 1" thick bulge... plus the flap on the bottom that holds the jack just won't stay latched/closed.
The sound is very clear, but the punch isn't the same as my Sennheiser MX300 ear buds. These are way too 'brite' in response, the low midrange (i.e. kick drum) only punches under the EXACT right EQ, but bass response is pleasant. I found that setting the iPod EQ to 'Latin', made the midrange punch nicely, maintain bass response -- but is still a bit too brite.
I wish Sennheiser made the exact same style headphone as these with their spin on sound quality in the midrange.
The headphones stay put nicely, in comparison to the earbuds.
Have had these a couple weeks, so durability -- dunno at this point. |

Excellent earphones for a buck-twenty nine! |
| Paid $1.29 after $30 coupon for signing up for Amazon Visa, in June 05. Amazing sound so far, and I'm quite impressed by the depth and clarity. I've not used them extensively enough to comment on the cord durability. I give it 4 stars since I've not had them long enough to experience any issues described by other reviewers yet. |

No Complaints. |
| Love these headphones. I've tried 5 different earbud type headphones over the last few years for use on my motorcycle, and these are far and above the best. I've used Jabra, Koss, and others and none were as comfortable or sounded as good as these. I've owned them for > 2 weeks now and ridden a lot with them in windy condiitons. No cord "disintegraton" has be noticed as mentioned in other reviews. Reccomended without reservation. |
